Regarding to applications for executive board
Note: All candidates may only run the following positions if they have fulfill all the requirements of becoming a member of Nu Rho Psi. Please go to “Becoming a Member” for further details or read through our Chapter’s constitution by-laws regarding to fulfilling these requirements. Current Positions Available
Event Coordinator
Shall oversee and lead the coordination of the Academic, Social, and Service committees and the events the respective standing committees organize, research, and set up. (Note: There will be 3 committees, Academic, Social and Service which the Event Coordinator will be responsible in recruiting its members and making sure of its functioning and progress).
Web Master
Shall be responsible for maintaining and updating the webpage for the local Chapter of Nu Rho Psi, which includes posting of new events on the calendar, and communicating other pertaining news.

Application Process
Due to the organization's new structural change and current status as a new local chapter of the National Honor Society in Neuroscience, Nu Rho Psi, the election process described in the constitution by-laws will not be applicable for this coming executive board term 08-09. All selection processes and decisions will be made under the discretion of the current new executive board members. The application process consists completing the application and having personal interviews with candidates.

Becoming a Member

Who may join?
Membership is by both invitation and open for application to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making the study of Neuroscience one of their major interests and who meet the other academic qualifications. Nu Rho Psi is also open to qualifying Neuroscience faculty and alumni of Neuroscience programs. Requirements for membership include:

* Major or minor in Neuroscience
* Completion of at least 3 semesters of the College course
* Completion of at least 3 Neuroscience-related courses. Please see the attached list of neuroscience classes that our chapter uses for this requirement and to fulfill our minimum of a 3.5 GPA in Neuroscience courses.
* Undergraduate/Graduate cumulative GPA of 3.2 and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in Neuroscience courses

Students and faculty are elected to membership by the chapter at the University of Southern California, according to the provisions in the national Nu Rho Psi Constitution. Membership in Nu Rho Psi is open to qualified candidates regardless of age, sex, sexual orientation, race handicap or disability, color, religion, or national or ethnic origin.For Prospective Undergraduate Members
In here is the list of neuroscience classes that the Alpha Chapter in California of Nu Rho Psi at USC counts towards the Neuroscience 3.5 GPA requirement. In order to also fulfill the above requirements, one must complete at least 3 of the listed neuroscience-related classes and obtain a minimum GPA of 3.5 in these classes.
