University of Southern California
National Society of Black Engineers - USC Chapter

Membership

The USC chapter of NSBE has over 20 registered members, originating from all over the United States. This year, our goal is attract at least 15 new members, and to fund over 60% of our students to the regional and/or national conference. Through our new Membership Incentive Program, the most dedicated members (i.e. the students who regularly attend events), will be selected to attend conferences at a reduced cost, and receive more exclusive awards.

Routinely following parliamentary procedure, our General Body Meetings are exclusive meetings for members to hear about upcoming events and for committee chairs to recruit volunteers for future programs. Additionally, at the beginning of each meeting, we have a upperclassmen come up to the front to briefly discuss their major as a part of our Major of the Month series.  With registered members from all of the engineering majors, we also offer lab tours of each department to give students more insight into their intended field.
