I absolutely believe that a well-balanced, good education, starting even in elementary school, is a child’s key to success and happiness later in life.  As an educator, I hope to assist my students in discovering his or her own individual strengths, academic or otherwise, to help my students find something that they enjoy and are passionate about and that will bring enthusiasm and energy to their studies.  I plan to be committed to my students, accessible, energetic about my work, dedicated to my craft, and open to new philosophies and teaching techniques.

While I consider formal schooling invaluable, I believe that education does not solely occur in a classroom.  I want my students to come away from my class knowing that there is a whole world beyond elementary school, filled with tremendous learning experiences more valuable than anything I could ever teach, and that in everyday life there is always the opportunity to learn something great.
