Hey, This is Rama Kovvuri

I am a research scientist in OCR team of Facebook AI Applied Research. Before Facebook, I worked towards my PhD at University of Southern California, Los Angeles, working under the supervision of Prof.Ram Nevatia. During my PhD, I have worked on topics such as Phrase Localization, Event detection and recounting, Zero-shot learning and Webly-supervised learning. My broad research interests include higher-level Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Applications of Vision and Language.

Before starting my PhD, I worked at Qualcomm, India and Marvell SemiConductors RnD, Bangalore for a few years . I completed my Masters (by research) and Bachelors in Computer Science from IIIT-Hyderabad under the supervision of Prof. Anoop Namboodiri.
