- - I took this class in Fall 2008. I t get much out of it. It felt like a seminar--like the new core with no cohesion/flow between the lectures. No basics, just specifics. I would not recommend this class.
- - I took this class in Fall 2008. I find it good. Norberto organized the class very well. With 10 different instructors it could have been all over the place but it seemed like Norberto gave clear guidelines to the instructors. Some of the lecturers were better than others, of course, but overall it was helpful to learn about how different systems work. It's effective and ineffective as a systems class at the same time. Specific systems are covered in a limited way, which is useful because it just gives you a taste of different areas in systems neuroscience, but it's ineffective if you're looking for answers to big questions about how the brain works at a systems level as far as concepts go. I would recommend this class.
- - I took this class in Fall 2008. The class was good. The quality of this class depends a lot on who is giving the lectures. This year, most lectures were good. I recommend this class.
- - I took this class in Fall 2008. This class ran pretty nicely. It was not mind-blowing or life changing, but overall, it was a good experience. I would recommend it.

- - I took this class in Spring 2007. We went over classic papers in a small group (there were 5 students in the class) and got to hash out all the details and the logic behind the experiments. It was made clear that the findings in one sensory system could easily be applied to another system. One note is that Sampath is 110% into vision, so that was the best section, while the other sensory systems were just ok. Still a great class! I recommend this class.
