Political Action Committee

As a political organization the NAACP is dedicated to impacting change by directly addressing issues not only relevant to the local black community but also on a statewide and national level in the actions of the decision-making forces in state and national government. In order to get people mobilized the duties of the political action chair include an ongoing movement to not only register voters but also to empower them by directing them towards resources that will help them make informed decisions. The political action committee makes it a point to remain aware of what measures are being taken at the local, state and national levels in the struggle for civil rights and informs the general body of these measures so that we as an organization can act accordingly.
