A "beastly" musical on a long run in Hollywood

The Beastly Bombing: A Terrible Tale of Terrorists Tamed by True Love is a small production that has been running for nine months at the Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood. Having done no advertising whatsoever, the cast and crew are amazed that they've been running for so long. This operetta will have you tapping your foot in tune with the catchy songs, and at the same time, have you cringing at the lyrics. It's unique nature has gotten this musical nominated seveal times for the L.A. Weekly Theatre award, and has won for Best Musical of the Year.

The mind behind the creativity and controversy of The Beastly Bombing had never envisioned he would write an operetta. At a young age, he gave up his classical music training for punk rock, but was drawn back to his roots when he saw Gilbert and Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance in London. Nitzberg saw how it had "barbed class" and political criticisms mixed in with a witty plot and lyrics, and formulated his own ideas into a musical for Hollywood.
