Re-envisioning Campus Maps
Hi, I'm a senior majoring in Geography and this is part of my final project for GEOG 393. These maps use field techniques (GPS, webmapping, and geotagging photographs) to help new students and visitors learn about what they can do and see on campus. I apologize in advance for the admittedly low tech way of accessing the Google Map, some of the code needed to embed it in the page accidentally got deleted.

To collect the data on what features should be included on the maps, a survey that I created was distributed via email to my classmates. Using the survey responses to determine what features should appear on the map, GPS coordinates were collected and then input in GIS to create the Supplement to the Google Map. GPS coordinates were also collected and input in GIS to create the map of History Signs. I created a Google Map (a type of webmapping) and placed the same features that I collected coordinate data for. I then linked photos, also known as geotagging, to the points in my Google Map.
All photographs used in the campus Google Map were taken by me.
