2006 Events
May 1, 2006 - Awards Banquet
Thanks to all chapters who participated and made this event possible. This year the banquet was celebrated at Steven's Steakhouse in Commerce.

2004 Events
Aug 25, 2004 - Fall Rush
Our Fall semester rush commenced during the first week of classes on August 25. We have a table on Trousdale between 12-2pm. You can approach us for more information about our chapters and how to Rush. The schedule of events have been posted to the left as well as on the rush page. Individual chapter events ensue the following week.
Apr 14, 2004 - Spring Awards/Initiation Banquet
Our 4th Official Annual Awards and Initiation Banquet took place
at the Davidson Conference Center. This marks
the first time MGC as a council has celebrated the achievements
of our members at USC dining facillities. Many thanks to Vanessa Ng who planned and facilitated the event.
Jan 9-10, 2004 - Spring Leadership Retreat
The 2nd MGC retreat took place at Big Bear on the weekend of January
9th. Members participated in a discussion session, workshops, community
building activities and more. The second day was spend snowboarding
at Mountain High. All 12 members in attendance were provided lift
tickets. 4 out of 8 chapters were present.
2003 Events
Nov 18, 2003 - Greek Scholarship Banquet
Members from Zeta Phi Rho and Zeta Sigma Phi were awarded gift certificates for maintaining a 4.0 GPA. This was the first time MGC participated in this all-Greek scholarship awards banquet.
Nov 1, 2003 - Homecoming Tailgate
Our councils 1st ever council-sponsored Homecoming Tailgate took
place on Campus the day of November
1st, 2003. Over 50 members were in attendance that day. Our chapters
brought out a BBQ, food, snacks and entertainment. All chapter were
present
Aug 8-10, 2003 - Fall Leadership Retreat
The 1st organized retreat in the USC MGC history took place at Big
Bear. Planned and organizaed by
Jason Portillo, the retreat featured Community building actvities
(planned meals, ice breakers and scavenger hunt), informal workshops,
and a meeting session used for generaing ideas and planning the
entire year. 7 out of 8 chapters were in attendance.
Apr 11, 2003 - Spring Awards/Initiation Banquet
Our 3rd Official Awards and Initiation Banquet took place at the Olympic Collection Banquet and Conference Center. Many thanks to Melissa Luis who organized and coordinated the event.
Mar 11, 2003 - Volunteer Work at Weemes
The council volunteered in the supervision and coordination of an
Easter themed special afterschool event for the children at Weemes Elementary.
There were a total of 21 members participating with every chapter having at least 2 participants. Members operated food booths, game-booths, a dunk tank, security and hosted other fun activities like face painting.
