USC Marathon Team

Running a marathon was something I never dreamed of doing, but as it turned out...March 7, 2004 was the best thing that I have ever done. Miles 1-14 felt great. Miles 15-21 felt good. Miles 22-25.5 just flat out hurt, and 25.5-26.2 was just a lot of adrenalin that got me to the finish...

It was awesome to hear people calling out your name as you were running by "Go Annie Go" but what was even better was "Fight on Trojans." If you yelled back, the whole crowd would get more fired up...I definitely had some nasty blisters (see the pictures) and Merv (aka Chris Griffin) kept me going...but after hundreds of miles of training, crossing the finish line was like no other feeling I have ever had...

Here are two pics: my blister (ewww...don't even know if you want them) and Chris Griffin and me at the end.
