Join Planned Parenthood's Campaign for Teen Safety in opposition to Prop 73 on the California ballot. On October 18 and November 8, we will join their call bank to call voters and educate them on the initiative.

SABA-SC's newly formed South Asian Women in the Law Committee will be hosting its inaugural event on February 27, co-sponsored by the Asian Pacific American Bar Association. The event is open to everyone, and will feature Professor Sean Scott of Loyola Law School, who will speak about the future of women's rights under the Bush Administration. January speakers from Planned Parenthood and Women's Law Association of Los Angeles.

We will be having two speakers at lunch on Wednesday, January 19, in Room 130 and would love for you all to attend.

Dawn Sestito is an attorney at O'Melveny & Myers LLP and the co-chair of the Pro-Choice and Reproductive Rights Committee of WLALA (Women's Law Association of Los Angeles). She will be speaking about how to balance a corporate life with continued pro-choice activism, and ways for law students to get involved.

Amy E. Exelby is the Acting Executive Director of the Planned Parenthood Los Angeles County Advocacy Project, and will be speaking about current issues affecting reproductive rights, as well as opportunities for involvement and activism.

Lunch will be provided!
