School on Wheels School on Wheels is a local non-profit that provides one-on-one tutoring and school supplies to homeless children from kindergarten through 12th grade, and they are always looknig for volunteer tutors. Make a big difference in a kid's life. It requires only a one hour commitment per week. Habitat for Humanity Habitat for Humanity builds houses for in-need families throughout L.A. and the country. Attend a volunteer orientation to learn more about the opportunities available around USC. Orientations in the future will occur on September 22, October 3, and March 20 at various locations. Heal the Bay Interested in helping the environment but don't have a lot of time? Then check out the beach cleaning opportunities through Heal the Bay at www.healthebay.org. They're a great way to fulfill community service hours. There's no need to attend a volunteer orientation and training session--just show up! Events range in duration from 1 to 4 hours apiece.
