The Lincoln Place Tenants Association won a victory when a state appeals court ordered evictions of tenants of Lincoln Place Apartments to stop. The September 2007 ruling marked the end of battle between Lincoln Place tenants and the large complex's owner, AIMCO Venezia, LLC. The owner had plans to develop the complex and wanted to turn some of the land into condominum towers.
