Boat House Project

Concept
The design is about the two paths that promote the existence of the marine reserve and integrate the private community into the site.

Site Analysis
After visiting the site, I felt impelled to make the marine reserve more public since it is presently tucked behind the private community. Also, based on the condition of the road of the private community that ends as it approaches the site, I responded strongly to this awkwardness and felt the need to open up the road into the site.

Design Details
1. The orientation of the programs was dictated by the rhythm created by the houses of the private community.
2. The extension of the path and the perception of these paths as wooden piers are conceived to both create vantage points at its ends and to
define a hierarchy to it materiality, countering the concrete and glass of the boathouse.
3. The implementation of the floating roof to finish the geometry of the formal linearity, while framing the view of the boat bay from the path.
4. Defined an extension of the marine reserve onto the site to further promote its existence.
5. The implementation of water onto the site to control the circulation throughout the site, while promoting this design as a landscape project, and to accommodate as a view for the houses of the private community right across.
