My research field is neural engineering.
I am part of the bioelectronics research team in University of Southern California (USC). Our resarch goal is to develop an electronic
retinal implant for the treatment of blindness due to retinitis pigmentosa. Using the first generation Argus I retinal implant,
six patients could perform light detection, motion detection and simple pattern recognition. The second generation Argus II retinal
implant has been developed and under clinical tests. Argus II implant recipients are hoped to perform higher-resolution pattern
