I am a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles. I am part of the Computing In Cloud(CiC) and the Smart Grid projects under the guidance of Prof. Viktor K. Prasanna and Dr. Yogesh Simmhan. I completed B.Tech in Computer Science, in 2008, from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India.

Research Interests


My primary research interests include optimizing Workflow and Stream Processing engines on IaaS Clouds for high-performance scientific computing with focus on application resiliency and reliability. I am also interested in addressing data privacy issues arising in public clouds due to data outsourcing.

Projects


  • GoFFISH: A scalable graph-oriented analytics framework that is well suited for trawling over reservoirs of inter-connected data that are fed by event data streams.
  • Cryptonite: A secure data repository on public cloud for data storage and secure data sharing with fine grained access control.
  • FLOE: An adaptive framework for dynamic, continuous data flow (streaming) applications on IaaS clouds.
