Family And Friends Remember Slain Student
Two teenage boys were shot and killed in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Highland Park on March 13 while walking home from Franklin High School. Alejandro Garcia, 16, and Carlos Hernandez, 15, were minutes away from Garcia's home when the two were confronted by possible gang members in front of the Highland Park Recreation Center on Figueroa Street.
Since the shooting, there has been little news coverage about the incident, community, investigation and boys' lives.

Alejandro's family, school teachers and friends remember him in this profile.
