I am a fourth year, Computer Science, PhD student at the University of Southern California. I am advised by Prof. Yan Liu. My research interests are in developing machine learning models and algorithms for relational and graph structured data.
I am currently studying models, inference methods and algorithms to understand network dynamics (such as diffusion/propagation processes on social networks) and explain observed phenomenon (such as the spread of misinformation and fake news), and further to leverage graph analysis to build better predictive and interventional models for fake news detection and mitigation.
I am also fortunate to have worked with Prof David Kempe on preferential attachment models to understand social network phenomenon. Also with Dr. Pinar Donmez at Facebook AI as a research intern and with Dr. Lokendra Shastri at Samsung Research in natural language dialogue understanding. And in my first year, with Prof Prem Natarajan on recommender systems, language processing and machine translation.
