Kaitlin Pinkerton is a Certificate Student in the GIST Program at the University of Southern California. Before beginning the program, she graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in Geography. Recently, she was a GIS Specialist at GSAREH, where she participated in GIS application demonstration production, bid-preparation and proposal writing activities, training material updates, and database management. She was also a GIS Intern at TreePeople, where she conducted a remote sensing research project to establish baseline tree canopy-coverage for target areas in Los Angeles County and presented the findings to various departments through informative maps and verbal presentations. She is interested in using her GIS knowledge in the environmental and conservation fields.


Seeing as I have recently moved to Austin and have recently found myself with a lot of time on my hands, I am going to attempt to explore Austin, TX to its fullest! A lot of my projects will likely involve tourist attractions as well as local-loves.
