First Semester's housing studio challenged us to look at the module as a prototypical informant of the spatial layout of a unit. The blocks that are configured in plan are used to create a facade system, articulating the envelope with similar language.

Second semester's City Hall challenged us to look at structural issues at every scale in model and planometric representation. Located in Venice, CA this design featured steel columns to take vertical loads with an experimental corten shear wall structural system to mediate horizontal loads. The faceted corten forms a shell around the glass enclosures and unfolds to create a public amphitheater.
