I'm a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Eletrical Engineering at the University of Southern California. I'm also a research assistant of the Media Communication Group at the Signal & Imaging Processing Institute, and currently working on stereo matching and multi-view video processing in a free-view video dispaly system. My advisor is Prof. C.-C. Jay Kuo.

- Summer Internship:Multiview Coding in the Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (May 2006 - August 2006)
- Developed advanced video compression algorithms for multiview video based on a synthetic view as a reference sequence
- Stereo Matching by Piecewise Linear Modeling at Media Communication Group, USC (January 2006 - present)
- Suggested a post-processing to improve the quality of disparity estimation, which consists of two steps; namely, a greedy disparity filling algorithm and a least-squared-errors (LSE) fitting method
- Proposed a piecewise linear surface model to represent 3-dimensional geometric structure for better surface modelinge
- Disparity Estiamtion and Virtual View Synthesis from Stereo Video at Media Communication Group, USC (January 2005 - December 2005)
- Developed a two-stage algorithm for accurate and fast DV estimation and occlusion handling
- Proposed a preprocessing algorithm which removes false matched regions for DV refinement effectively and a new virtual view synthesis equation to reduce blurring and ghostly effects greatly
- Multiview Video Coding Based on H.264 at Media Communication Group, USC (May 2004 - December 2005)
- Designed and implemented diisparity and motion compensated multiview video codec based on H. 264
