Hello.

My name is Jonathan Jobe, and I'm a 19 year old student attending the University of Southern California. First and foremost I endeavor to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. I believe wholeheartedly in his teachings, and it bothers me immensely how many people parade themselves around as Christians while their lives and their philosophies do not reflect his teachings at all (many politicians, many televangelists... you get the drift). For a prime example of what my goals are, see Matthew Chapters 5 through 7 (not too long of a read).

I am majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in the Teaching Profession. When I graduate, I'll have a BA and a teaching credential, saving me a year of post-graduate work. This brings the "total number of years of my life saved from school that I am ahead" up to 2, since I also started at USC a year early. I plan to pursue a career teaching high school biology, and I'm thinking about education administration as well. To see my education portfolio, look here.

I am in love. Conveniently, I am in love with my best friend. Krista Breen, whom I met my freshman year of high school at the tender age of 14, has been my steady woman for the past four and a half years. She is beautiful, smart, funny, and most importantly, SHE LIKES VIDEO GAMES! Almost too good to be true. She's currently attending Riverside Community College preparing to transfer to California State University, Los Angeles.

My family is also something that is very important to me. My parents are pretty cool for older folks, and we get along great. I like going home and hanging out with my younger little sister and little younger brother, too. The three of us didn't always get along so well, but these days things are great. I also have the most awesome grandparents (they used to feed us kids poison whenever we spent the night at their house. Poison looked and tasted strangely like donuts). They're getting ready to move from Montclair, CA to Bakersfield, CA, which means at least a two hour drive to see them. Bummer.

Let's see, what else it there? I was born in Fontana, CA, where I lived until I was nine, when we moved to Rialto, CA (about a 20 minute drive) and my family still live there. I live at USC in the ghetto of Los Angeles. I have a great affinity to all things nerdy: computers, video games (I am an unashamed Nintendo fanboy... Wiiiiiiiiii!), Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, sci-fi/fantasy in general... and much more, I'm sure.
