Los Angeles is everything they say it is, and not at all like they say it is.

I didn't come to Los Angeles expecting to love the city, or even to like it. It is a city built in the desert, flaunting its green where there should be brown, skyscrapers amid earthquakes, and sprawl far beyond any traditional urban edges. It's flashy, it's dangerous, it's congested. And yet I love this city.

This is my Los Angeles:

Downtown Los Angeles

Hollywood Farmer's Market

Griffith Park
