I will be receiving my Masters degree in Computer Science, specializing in "Human Language Technology", at the University of Southern California in December 2010. I received my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engg. from the NIT, Trichy, India in May 2009.

Within Computer Science, I am interested in anything that combines the dynamic fields of A.I. and Algorithmic theory. This has drawn me to the fields of Statistical Natural Language Processing, specifically statistical Machine Translation; and Machine Learning. I am currently seeking industry experience that will enable me to put all of my hard work and what I've learned along the way, to serious practical use.

My passions outside the domain of Computers include listening to music of all genres, playing outdoors (I love playing Cricket, Table-Tennis and don't mind a tiny bit of Basketball or lawn-Tennis. I like Soccer as long as it stays on-screen.), indoors (both on the chess-board and on the Computer screen). I also enjoy reading and my favorite reads are The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by Tolkien and Kane & Abel by Jeffrey Archer. I also read blogs (though I don't blog myself) and comic strips.
