Jarrod Hayes is a Bannerman Fellow and PhD candidate in the School of International Relations at the University of Southern California.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Magna Cum Laude) and Astronomy from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  His research interests fit most neatly into the realms of foreign policy, security policy, and comparative politics, with particular attention paid to the role and importance of democracy in the formation of policy and the construction of the perceptions of external actors.
