Welcome to the
P a r k s i d e

Hello, and welcome! Here's a first-hand peek into the Life o' Jake. I try to update this thing pretty regularly (hahahahahaha), but what can I say? It's a busy life in Los Angeles. Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy!...

10.15.04 I couldn't have said it any better than cartoonist Mr. Siers...

You've been my hero since Day One, Chris . . . thank you.

01.15.04 A little blast from the past here! I can't believe it's been nearly three years since I graduated from college, and left home. Here's a farewell page I wrote then, during my last days as a Husky. I guess I had saved this part of my old page, being all sentimental and stuff *sniff*

06.15.03 My little nephew was born this morning at 4:06, just two hours ago! I have no way of describing the joy I am feeling right now. I am truly humbled by the small wonder that entered our lives today. For now, all I have to give him is this. I'm sure he has a while before he can read it, so perhaps you might enjoy it in the meantime :)

06.12.03 Wow! It's certainly been a while since I've done anything with this website. Finals and projects really take it out of a guy. Anyhoo, my buddy Mike just sent me pictures from our Spring Break trip to Seattle. I'm gonna see about getting those photos up this weekend, along with some keen storytelling, I hope :) Come back soon!...

02.28.03 Sometimes life sucks. It's during these times that I tend to get pretty contemplative, as I ponder the state of the things--and people--important to me. At this point I'd think to write about it, but I haven't the time. So for now, as I have before, I turn to another chapter in Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet. It clears my head and gives me hope.....

12.07.02 In eleven days, I'm scheduled to have shoulder surgery. Since I was 15 years old, I've suffered from the occasional shoulder dislocation. My right shoulder was fixed in April of 1997. While the operation is necessary to prevent further problems, it is certainly not an experience I look forward to.....

07.04.02 Have a wonderful Independence Day! Whatever has happened in the past or present, good or bad, this country is still worth celebrating.

07.03.02 Warner Brothers releases the first teaser trailer for Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines! Click here to view the trailer! What's the big deal, you ask? Read what I have to say.
