FRI, Jan 27, 2006: Paper #2 for next week

This has been changged to Friberg et al's 2000 paper on "Music from motion". Please check the online syllabus.

MON, Jan 23, 2006: downloading pdf's of journal articles

I'm trying to download the papers for class online, but I'm not able to do it. Would you happen to know why?

Yes. You need to be on campus. It is USC that has the subscription to these journals so that you can have access only through a campus machine.

FRI, Jan 13, 2006: Week 2 assignment and Week 1 lecture notes

This week's lecture notes and the assignment for the following week have been posted at http://www-scf.usc.edu/~ise575/b/syllabus.

For the next class, please download and read the Gabrielsson article. You have been assigned to one of the reading sets as shown below. The designated presenters have an asterisk by their name. You (and that includes presenters) should prepare a report that is approximately 1-page long, single-spaced.

2. Chuan, Ching-Hua
3. Chung, Cheng-Ta

I don't have Cheng-Ta's or Siao Jer's current email. If any of you know them outside of class, please let them know about the assignment. If your name is not here, if your lastname begins with A-M, then read set B, else, read set A. You are all, of course, encouraged to read the entire chapter, although this is not required.
