Meet the Executive Board > Executive Board 2010-2011
A leader is best when people barely know he exists, not so good when people obey and acclaim him, worse when they despise him... But of a good leader who talks little when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say, 'We did it ourselves.'" - Lao Tzu
President, Junior, majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies (Neuroscience, Humanities)
Brenda has always loved teaching, and hopes that Interaxon, by offering fascinating subject matter with a big smile, can begin to show these K-12 students how much science has to offer! Likes napping, Thai food, and design blogs.

Vice-President, Junior, majoring in Biology
To refresh the little mad scientists we discovered within ourselves in grade school and instigate the same passion for learning in children whose paradigm of that prodigious study may be unfavorable, Interaxon is like a person whose left side of his body is partly missing; it's more than all right.

Project Director, Sophomore, double majoring in Neuroscience and Computer Science
I have always loved the sciences and hope to spread my passion for learning to the next generation. I am interested in the field of neural engineering and developing technologies that emulate the amazing abilities of the human brain. Outside of academics, I enjoy building things, playing music (saxophone, piano), being outdoors, being creative, and goofing off. Really excited for Interaxon's future!

Amitha has loved teaching K-8 children back home in the Bay Area. She hopes that through USC Interaxon, she will get a chance to share her favorite subject with some L.A. kids and convert them all to mad brain scientists. Her favorite foods are buttermilk and garlic.

Interaxon Leader, Sophomore, double majoring in Neuroscience and Psychology
With one billion neurons, one million thoughts, and very few answers, Neuroscience is cool because there is so much to learn! I like to figure out the "why" behind stuff, and with Interaxon, I hope to inspire curiosity in kids too. I love teaching and playing games with kids, especially when concepts about the brain are involved. I also like learning about people, hanging out with friends, going to the beach, casually running, reading good books, and watching movies. I'm looking forward to an awesome Interaxon year!
