Conducted airfoil trades studies and aircraft configuration studies and aerodynamic analysis as part of the aerodynamics team working on an AIAA Design, Build, Fly competition aircraft.

Solar Powered UAV [April 2008]

Worked in a small group to develop a conceptual design for a solar powered unmanned aerial vehicle required to complete a transatlantic flight as part of a flight mechanics course.

  ■ Collaborated with a graduate student to develop a procedure for producing nanoporous titanium foam using the production of nanoporous gold foam as a model

  ■ Performed Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX) analysis to determine sample composition
