Hyojung Lee


Hyojung Lee is a first year Ph.D. student in Urban Planning and Development at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy.

He previously received his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Seoul National University where he majored in Civil and Environmental Engineering. After completing another master’s program in urban planning (MPL) at the USC Price in May 2012, he continues his study of the urban studies as a Ph.D. student. Since May 2011, he has worked with Professor Dowell Myers as a member of Population Dynamics Research Group while analyzing changes in demographic and socio-economic characteristics in Southern California/Los Angeles area.

Currently, his primary research interests lie in linking demographics to housing demand, analyzing poverty trends in Los Angeles, and examining the consumption patterns across metropolitan areas.
