MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
WELCOME AND THANK YOU FOR VISITING THE USC HELENES WEBSITE!
USC Helenes are the official hostesses of the University of Southern California and the oldest all-female service organization in the Trojan Family. More importantly, Helenes is a unique sisterhood of driven, warm-hearted women united by our love for the community and our university. Over the past 92 years, Helenes has evolved into a diverse family of women from all backgrounds with a diversity of life goals, hopes, and dreams. Empowered, we relentlessly strive to make our environment a better place for all.
Helenes assist the University with numerous major events and activities, and our service to the greater Los Angeles community has expanded greatly in recent years. The heart of our community service lies in our close relationship with the Los Angeles Downtown Women's Shelter, but our service is seen throughout all of Los Angeles helping children with disabilities, caring for shelter dogs, mentoring high school girls, assisting homeless families, tutoring children in afterschool programs, and helping preserve our natural environment. Beyond service, Helenes also serve as one of the premier spirit organizations on campus. No one has more love for USC tradition and the Trojan Family than Helenes!
For so many of us, Helenes is our home away from home and serves as a warm embrace of community. Whether I am on campus, studying abroad, or visiting as an alumna, Helenes will always be my best friends, my role models, and my sisters. It is truly my privilege and honor to lead this group of amazing women. I encourage you to explore our website to learn about our rich history and tradition. Learn about where we volunteer and how you can join our sisterhood. If you have any questions or want to get in touch with us, please do not hesitate to contact me, or better yet, join us at one of our prospective activities – we'd love to meet you! We are so excited about this coming year, and we wish you all the best in your endeavors at USC. On behalf of the USC Helenes, I thank you for sharing your support with us. As always, we send you lots of Helenes Love! Fight On, and remember to Serve On!
All the best,
Chelsey Christensen
