Peter Ara Guekguezian
University of Southern California
I am a sixth-year Ph.D. student in Linguistics at the University of Southern California. My research focuses on the phonology-syntax interface within the word, prosodic recursion and cyclic spellout, prosodic morphology, and the syntax and semantics of aspect. I have conducted fieldwork on the endangered languages Chukchansi Yokuts (Penutian: California), Squliq Atayal and Saisiyat (both Austronesian: Taiwan). I am currently a Teaching Assistant for LING 110 'In a Word', and I have also taught freshman composition and academic ESL at USC, in addition to extensive tutoring. Outside of linguistics, my interests include traveling, constructing languages, doing crosswords, playing the trumpet, trying out new cuisines in restaurants and in my kitchen, and spending time with my family.
