The title of the dissertation written by
Gerardo Licón
Doctoral Candidate
Department of History
University of Southern California
I am currently conducting research on Mexican American youth
culture, particularly pachuco culture, during
the 1940s in the U.S. Southwest and urban Mexico. If you would like to learn
more about my research read a short abstract
or email me for more information on my dissertation. To learn more about me

you know someone who wore a zoot suit in the 1940s or has memories of people
who did, please contact me with their information via e-mail
(glicon@usc.edu) so that I can contact him or her. They may be able to be part
of a research study that I plan to turn into a book. Thank you for your interest
in my research.
