Ted Hayes: Homeless advocate and Minuteman

Some question how Ted Hayes, a minority and longtime advocate for the homeless, could favor the deportation of illegal immigrants. Hayes, along with a group of other blacks in Los Angeles and across the country, are joining forces with the Minuteman Project to oppose the presence of illegal immigrants who they say are lowering competitive job wages and threatening the safety of Americans.

ANSWER Coalition: Stop racist attacks on immigrants

The ANSWER Coalition says the Minuteman Project, a group that opposes illegal immigration, is spreading racism against illegal immigrants among working class people in the United States. The group blames employers and the government for the lowering of job wages that has been angering some Americans. The ANSWER Coalition does not support the guest worker program and says that employed illegal immigrants and their families should be granted legalization.
