These are the past projects that FMLA at USC have worked on or are related with feminism, since our inception in the Fall of 2000. We've done some things so far, so good. And yet, so little. :(

Race for the Cure: Every year we send USC volunteers to this event to help out on November 4th, 2001. If you want to get involved, download this form here and take it to Jameson Stalanthas Yu, who works at the Joint Educational Project House. (213) 740-1837. He can get the form through, even though it's past the deadline.

Fefu and her Friends is a play put on by the Women's Theatre Organization (wto@usc.edu. It's running Thursday the 25th and Friday the 26th at 8pm, and on Saterday the 27th 2:30, 8pm, and on Sunday the 28th at 2:30pm. It's at the Massman Theatre, DRC 1029 Childs Way. It's FREE!

Sexual Health Fair: It's October 18th. Various groups like Planned Parenthood, Fair Game, Alpha Gamma Omega and many others are involved right now. It'll happen on Trousdale, 11am-2pm.

"CU" Mary Abdo on TV!: Our president appears one of USC's orignal interview setting about the various feminist issues that are abound USC and our community. Catch her on September 20th.

Peace Action for the Coalition for Peace Visit and contribute to the Victims' Memorial on 9/20/2001, dedicate to all those affected by the September 11th atacks. Create Live Art and send Faxes to our politicians. Wear Ribbons and make Cranes for peace. Check out Educational material and listen to live Music.
The Peace Action has been organized by the following groups in a Coalition for Peace: STARC Alliance (Students Transforming and Resisting Corporations), Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance (FMLA), United University Church (UUC), Student Coalition Against Labor Exploitation (SCALE), International Relations Undergraduate Association (IRUA), Student Peace Action Network (SPAN), Trojan Horse, Student Action for the Environment (SAFE), and JubilleeUSA.

November 7, 12:00-1:30 Elinor Accampo of the USC History Dept: "Blessed Motherhood, Bitter Fruit: Nelly Roussel and the Politics of Female Pain in Fin-de-Siecle France" URC 108

Ending Gender Apartheid in Afghanistan This event is co-sponsored by the FMLA and the Unruh Institute and will be held at SGM (Seeley G. Mudd) 123 on University Park Campus at the University of Southern California. Mavis Leno, advocate and wife of talk show host Jay Leno, and Kathy Spillar, National Coordinator of the Feminist Majority Foundation are going to be our speakers. The event is on Tuesday, November 13th at 5:00pm.
