Spring 2012 First Practice
January 9th, 2012

Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful winter break and are ready for another semester with USC Fencing!
Our first practice will be held on Thursday, January 12th at 9:30 P.M. in North Gym at PED (Physical Education Building). No prior experience required! Please bring water and wear comfortable athletic clothes. All equipment is provided.

    NEW FENCERS - Few things to note for the first practice:

  • Bring your USC ID and health insurance card (you will need this to fill out the insurance waiver).
  • Be sure to wear comfortable athletic clothes or anything you would wear to workout.
  • Wear comfortable athletic shoes.
  • DO NOT wear sandals, flip-flops, or slippers.
  • DO NOT wear jeans or other tight fitting pants.
  • Bring water (there aren't many water fountains available).

Spring 2012 Involvment Fair
January 9th, 2012

Be sure stop by our booth at the Involvement Fair Wednesday, January 11th at Trousdale Parkway and Alumni Park between 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.! We ask all returning USC fencers to please stop by and assist us.

Fall 2011 Last Practice
November 28th, 2011

Last practice of the Fall 2011 semester will be on Thursday (December 1st). If you need to drop off or pickup any equipment, please be sure to stop by this Thursday.


UCSB Mega-Meet
November 17th, 2011

First team competition of the IFCSC will take place this Saturday, November 19th, in Santa Barbara.

UCI Collegiate Open
November 2nd, 2011

On November 6th (this Sunday), USC Fencing will compete in the UCI Collegiate Open, the first tournament of the year. We will meet in front of the Lyon Center on Sunday morning and travel together to Irvine.

Social Event: The Rocky Horror Picture Show
October 11th, 2011

To celebrate one of the greatest holidays of the year (All Hallow's Eve aka Halloween), we shall be heading over to a special midnight screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show!
Following is the important information:

  • Where: The Nuart Theatre
  • When: Friday, October 28th at 11:59 P.M.
  • Cost: $11.50

Social Event: USC Fencing BBQ
October 11th, 2011

After a great deal of research and development, we decided to have a Fencing Barbeque! This event will be available to you for a reduced price of $5 which will cover the cost of food and drinks.
Since we know everyone's mouths are already watering, here is the important information:

  • What: USC Fencing BBQ
  • Where: Century Apartments BBQ area (near the pool)
  • When: Sunday, October 23rd at 4:30 P.M.
  • Cost: $5 and a few hours of your time

Equipment Order
September 20th, 2011

We will be ordering equipment from Absolute Fencing on Friday, September 23rd. If you would like to order anything, please let President Jim Green know in person or via email (jamesgre@usc.edu) by Thursday. Our club receives 20% off on Absolute Fencing products and 10-15% off on everything else (non-clearance). This is a great opportunity to get your own equipment (or at least a glove - $10)!


Social Event: Tim Burton's Exhibit
September 12th, 2011

For our first "major" USC Fencing social event we will visit Tim Burton's Exhibit at LACMA on October 8th. The cost is $20. If you are interested, please RSVP to fencing@usc.edu by September 22th. Feel free to email us for more information!


USC vs. UCLA Women's Volleyball
September 8th, 2011

Let's show some Trojan Spirit and support USC Women's Volleyball! We will meet near Tommy Trojan at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, September 9th and walk over to the game as a team! FREE admission, FREE T-shirts, and FREE pizza (just bring your USC ID)!
