Welcome to the Homepage of the USC Fencing Club!

Since its creation in 1926, the Fencing Club has been a place for USC students to learn one of the oldest and most thrilling Olympic Sports.

Fencing in front of Tommy TrojanMembers have the opportunity to train with coaches, compete in fencing tournaments, and (most importantly!) have a fun time with an exceptional group of people.

Our excellent coaches teach fencing at all levels, and we love to welcome new fencers to the club at any time during the school year. Practices are held at 9:00 PM in the North and South Gyms at PED, over by Cromwell Field. Hope to see you there!

Hi everybody, hope you had an awesome winter break! Now it's a new semester, and you know what that means... the return of USC Fencing! (Also the return of soul-crushing classes, but that's slightly outside of our focus.) Right now, Jason tells me that the exact starting date is a little unclear right now, but expect practice to start either Thursday, January 22nd or Monday, January 26th.

We highly encourage anyone who's interested in fencing to come to practice. New people, you've never fenced before? We'll teach you exciting things like the rules, how to hold a weapon, what exactly "right of way" is, and why hitting someone over the head with your guard is frowned upon. Club members, have friends who say, "Hey, you're lame because we never see you Monday or Thursday nights"? Bring them to fencing and show them how what you're doing is so much fun all while stabbing them in the process. It's a win-win situation for everyone. If you have any questions, please check out the FAQs or contact us at fencing@usc.edu

Also of note, info for the 2009 Linkmeyer Invitational is now available. It's an annual USFA sanctioned event, and a lot of fun. Visit the link above for more information, as well as results and photos from past Linkmeyers.

All right, keep an eye on the website for more updates in the future. See you at practice!

~SA
