Being a scientist was my dream from my early childhood. The main driving force behind this was my unsatisfiable curiosity and my powerful imagination. During my high school years I adored the scientists like Einstein, Newton, Galileo who solved the great mysteries of nature in their times. Besides when I was at high school I was quite good at mathematics and physics, and I enjoyed studying them very much. Therefore, to satisfy my curiosity and to do something I enjoy I decided to study physics as my undergraduate study. The first step to take was the National University Entrance Examination where I became 268th among approximately 1 million Turkish High School graduates. Thus I entered the world of physics at Bilkent University and I was awarded with Bilkent University Scholarship and also the Scholarship of the  Turkish Council for Scientific and Technical Research for my success in this exam. The story continues in a fascinating city Los Angeles now I am doing my PhD in physics in the University of Southern California. More later...
