Student Organizations

     The following student organizations are considered to be primarily under the umbrella organization of EGO for university and GPSS representation, as well as funding purposes. 

Educational Doctorate Student Assembly (EDSA)
Since Spring of 2009, EDSA has represented all doctorate and education students, specifically students in the Ed.D. program. The purpose of this organization is to explore and promote academic and career issues related to the field of education.  EDSA promotes doctorate students in the Rossier School of Education to get to know one another better outside the classroom by creating a social network, participating in community outreach events, and promoting awareness in the field of education.  For further please information contact EDSA at uscedd@gmail.com or visit the EDSA website.


Post-secondary Administration and Student Affairs Network (PASA Network)
The purpose of PASA Network is to promote the academic and professional development of graduate students in the field of post-secondary administration and student affairs.  PASA Network also increases awareness of the post-secondary administration and student affairs field by doing outreach to prospective applicant and maintaining connections with alumni.  For further information please visit PASA Network's website at http://www-scf.usc.edu/pasanet.


PUMP
In Spring of 2009, PASA Network established an undergraduate mentoring program called PUMP. School Counselors of Tomorrow (SCoT)
SCoT, established in Fall of 2007, is a graduate student organization that offers support and guidance for the transition and stay as professional students in the School Counseling program in the Rossier School of Education. Students Transforming the Education Process (STEP)
STEP, formed Spring of 2008, was established in by graduate students in the Education Psychology graduate program.  STEP's purpose is to build deeper connections between the Ed Psych students, while providing a social outlet.  As the name implies, STEP is also involved in taking a proactive role in the transformation of current educational systems and processes.  The primary goal of STEP is to have fun while making a positive impact of the community.  For further information please contact STEP at step@usc.edu or visit the STEP website at http://www-scf.usc.edu/~step/.


Teachers of Troy (ToT) 
ToT believe education is the door to excellence.  ToT aims to provide each member with the following: a social network to access diverse interactions that facilitate the growth of multicultural competence, professional and academic development to prepare educational leaders, and finally the privilege to provide community outreach services to local schools and orphanages.  Through various opportunities to be intimately involved in the MAT program at the University of Southern California, ToT can and will make a difference in the world of education.  For further information please contact ToT at TOT@usc.edu


TESOL/TEFEL Society (TTS)
