Eric Coe is a graduate student pursing his PhD in computer networking
under the Computer Engineering Division of the Electrical Engineering
Department. Eric's research interests include: Delay or Disruption
Tolerant Networking, Protocols for High Speed Networks, Next Generation
Networks and Emulation techniques for evaluating mobile network
technologies.
Eric Coe received a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering and a B.S.
degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri -
Columbia in 1997 and M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Southern California in 2000. He is currently pursuing a
Doctorate from University of Southern California in Disruption Tolerant
Networking.
During the summer of 1995 he interned with Lutz, Daily & Brain
Consulting Engineers where he retrofit equipment for existing power
plants and pump stations. In the summer of 1996, he interned with
Motorola and eventually took a full-time position in 1998 as a Software
Engineer in the Cellular Infrastructure Group - Personal Communications
Division. At Motorola he developed optimization tools and initialization
sequences for bringing new cellular base-stations online. From late 1998
until the fall of 2000 Eric held the position of Senior Programmer at
Wescom Credit Union. At Wescom he designed and coded an online bill
payment web-site, wrote programs to balance a network of hundreds of
ATMs and coordinated with Senior VP's on future technologies for the
banking industry.
Eric has been with The Aerospace Corporation since August of 2000. He
originally work in the Computer and Software Division, but has
recently been relocated to the Communications and Networking Division.
He has supported various research projects such as Active Networks,
Emerging Computer and Communication Networks, Future Networking for
Challenged Environments.
