"Teachers don't put information into kids, they simply take it out"-Dr. Cross

The quote at the top completely covers my philosophy of teaching.  The quote is from a great teacher who taught at my school and recently passed away cancer. Teaching is an opportunity to make a difference in many students lives at one time.  I would like to teach because I know I can make a difference in the world today.  Many people would like to make a difference by running a major company, I believe the biggest difference can come in changing a childs life.  Children are the "next generation" they must have essential academic skills to earn a job.  It is the responsibility of the teacher to make sure all students, not just some, receive all the material.  I like to look at teaching in retrospective as a coach.  In coaching, if you fail to teach you lose and many loses mean you are unsuccessful.  In teaching, if you fail it is one life lost, but if you succeed the satisfaction is remarkable.

"Teach because you want to, not because you have to."
