The District provides a comprehensive curriculum, based on rigorous academic standards, that is responsive to the strengths and needs of our students. We are committed to developing compassionate, responsible citizens who will be confident, creative, and productive members of a global society.

Vision Statement

Student Achievement

Curriculum is thoughtfully designed to focus on rigorous content and performance standards with emphasis on providing the lifelong values, attitudes, and skills that lead to success in higher education and in life. Expected knowledge and performance levels for all students are clearly articulated for each grade level, course, and/or instructional unit.

Instruction

High quality teachers are developed and supported through on-going, effective professional development. Lessons exhibit thorough planning and reflect instructional practices that are proven to be highly effective in promoting student learning. Instructional time is valued and class time is maximized. Instruction is differentiated to address the unique needs of students of all learning styles and ability levels. Instructional materials are current, accessible to all students, represent the highest quality, and are aligned with student academic content standards and course outlines.

Culture

Respect, caring, trustworthiness, fairness, integrity, responsibility, and good citizenship are the ethical foundations on which our District is built. The District has no institutional biases toward any race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. There are intense and unified efforts to ensure acceptance of individual differences and to advance appreciation of diversity. A supportive and nurturing environment promotes feelings of belonging, worth, and competence in every person in our District.
