Philosophy Statement
Schools are places where children spend 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, a major portion of their youth. Therefore, a school should be a safe-haven for children of all ages. Children of all race, creeds, and cultures should feel welcome and free to express themselves. A school should be a safe environment that promotes interaction between children, parents, teachers, and the surrounding community. Teachers themselves possess enormous power to shape and mold young minds; thus, teachers should inspire their students to love knowledge and creativity. As a teacher, I will learn and grow to uphold these virtues in the teaching profession as well as in education.
