Helmets required on all rides!  Waivers must be signed and on file before riding.


Our weekly club ride is held every Saturday and changes throughout the year.  During the fall semester, rides are slow and gradually build in distance to prepare for the race season.  This is a great time of year to join us for the first time!  In the spring semester, the club rides start to get faster and joins up with other large group rides in Los Angeles.   


During the rest of the week, club members may be joining in on any of the following rides:

Tuesday: Pier Ride

45 miles from campus

   

Starts at the bridge in Marina Del Ray. Fast and flat, total ride time is under an hour. Great practice for criteriums and developing pack handling skills.

Starts in Santa Monica. Meet up with our coach, Ron Peterson, and head north along PCH into the Santa Monica Mountains. Moderate endurance pace with lots of climbing.

Thursday: Pier Ride

   

Same as the Tuesday Pier Ride, but faster!

Cycling

Starts at Ave I and PCH in Redondo Beach. Fast and rolling route along the coastline of the Palos Verdes penninsula before heading up the switchbacks at Palos Verdes Drive East. Stop for water at the top before heading down the other side and back up for more climbing. Hammer home with the pack or add on more climbing if you’re in the mood to suffer.

Sunday: Kettle

60-90 miles from campus

   

Starts in Santa Monica. Hammer-fest up PCH until you reach Pepperdine. Then head into the Santa Monica mountains for hours of climbing.
