MUED 452 Website: Sight Reading

Sight reading and sight singing are essential skills for young musicians to develop, but are often overlooked in music classrooms due to performance-driven curricula and a lack of teacher resources.  This website aims to equip teachers with basic knowledge and tools for incorporating sight reading and sight singing into their daily lessons.  This page contains a series of lesson plans, meant to be used as 10-15 minute segments of the daily lesson or rehearsal, a basic explanation of sight singing and sight reading and practice tools for students, and a page of links to online resources for both students and teachers.
