“A photograph
captures a moment and tells the story about the moment which
a million words cannot”.
Many
of us have an experience when it is river rafting trip with
friends, our own graduation or it is a friends wedding. We
want to capture the moment but we are not in a state to do
it because we are involved in the moment or may be didn’t
anticipate that particular moment to be worth capturing.
In this document we are proposing a service where a photographer
captures the moment for you, presents it in all possible
forms to You and You as a customer get to choose between
the best of them. You get the preview of the moment in your
email before you reach home. When you go home, you surf through
the pictures presented thorough a photo album website. You
can order it in the frame You like, in the size You like,
on a cup or a t-shirt of your choice! You can change the
color settings of the picture to suit the color of the t
shirt or the cup you are placing it on. You can download
the pictures or order for a hard copy by making the payment
online.
The
service we are proposing here has a fixed number of photographers
registered with it. Photographers shoot the pictures at the
event and upload them to a KIOSK. At the event, Customers
can surf through the pictures, make their selections, and
enter their telephone number and email or postal address.
This telephone number acts as a unique id for the photograph.
The thumbnail of the picture is then mailed / emailed to
their addresses. The service allows the user to view the
preview on the website by using the telephone number as the
pin. The user can preview the pictures on a t-shirt or a
cup etc. The service also allows photographers to register
with it with some conditions and sets up an account for them.
The
KIOSK GUI with be our project with features for displaying
images, in different sizes, in different frames and different
backgrounds. Preview will be available to customers in the
form of Customizable photo album, On T-shirt and Coffee Mugs.
GUI will also support features for inputting information
about customers, mailing preferences and their addresses.
This
project will use Microsoft access as the backend database
and ASP.Net to create the servers side scripting and the
front end.
