Room Options
Our rooms are modern, spacious, and comfortable. Our daily house-keeping service keeps all rooms exceptional clean. We have a wide variety of options for our traveler to chose from ranging from dorm-style rooms to private suites. Our dorm rooms are located on the second and third floors of the building while the fourth floor is dedicated to our semi-private and private rooms.
Dorm Room
Our spacious dorm rooms are mixed gender or female only. We have both 6 and 8 person rooms, all equipped with air-conditioning, secured lockers and wireless internet.
Semi-Private Room
These rooms can be used for families or for travelers that wish to have a bit more privacy. The rooms have four beds: a double and two singles. Rooms feature en-suite bathrooms as well as the amenities listed with dorms.
Private Room
Our private rooms are for guests requesting maximum privacy. They have either two single beds or one queen bed. These rooms are located on the top floor of the Beach Bungalow and all have ocean views, en-suite bathrooms with free towel hire, air conditioning, and wireless internet.
Common Areas
Kitchen We have a large kitchen for all our guests. The kitchen has stoves, fridges and freezers, four microwaves and two ovens. It is complemented by two large tables each seating sixteen people for our guests to enjoy a social dinner or to quickly prepare themselves a snack.
Media Center Our brand new media center is open for all hostel guests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All ten of our brand new computers are equipped with Web-Cam and phone calling capabilities so guests can stay in touch with their friends and their family while they’re away. This room is private and quiet, so that guest can use the Internet for both pleasure and work without any disturbance.
Liquid Lounge The Beach Bungalows encourages a vibrant and social atmosphere. Our funky Liquid Lounge is fully equipped with a pool table, flat screen television, couches, and a snack bar, allowing guests to mingle or just relax after a long day. For our guests over the age of 21, we have a full bar served at a moderate prices.
Movie Room Adjacent to our Liquid Lounge is our movie room. Sitting up to thirty people, our guests can enjoy any one of our hundreds of DVD titles, including a variety of old classics and new favorites! Sit back in our theater seats or lounge in our colorful bean-bags while watching a crystal clear picture on our state-of-the-art projection system. Free popcorn and soda is served once a week during our movie night.
Rooftop Bungalow Unlike any other hostel in the country, the Beach Bungalow is home to its very own Rooftop Bungalow! This unique, exotic and spacious bar is the perfect place to enjoy crystal clear views of the sunset, a cool ocean breeze, and one of our many delicious cocktails. The Rooftop Bungalow also features a pizza ocean, space heaters, and a sound system, creating a social and lively atmosphere that you’ll never want to leave.
Pool Take a dip in our refreshing pool at any time during the day. The pool, situated in the courtyard of our hostel, is heated for the comfort of our guests visiting us in the winter season.
Activities and Services
Our full-time activities staff directs a variety of day- and night-time activities to meet the needs of our guests.
Day: Activities start daily at dawn with Sunrise Yoga. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy surfing lessons, water aerobics in our courtyard pool, beach runs, as well as rent boogie and surf boards and paddle tennis equipment. In addition, guests can enjoy L.A. from our bicycle hire or using our easy shuttle service to popular attractions.
Night: The Beach Bungalow hosts a nightly array of social events for our international guests to enjoy. Twice-a-week our staff leads a Pub-Crawl, featuring local bars, free cover, and drink discounts. In the Liquid Lounge, our staff hosts weekly poker and billiard tournaments. In addition, The Rooftop Bungalow holds nightly events such as trivia contests and other games.

Tour Desk
To ensure that our guests have a pleasurable stay, the Beach Bungalow offers a fully-staffed tourism desk. Open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, the desk has information about all the best local attractions. Guests can book a hike to the infamous Hollywood sign, tours of celebrity houses, shuttle to the walk of fame and many other popular destinations. In addition, the desk also sells discount tickets to Magic Mountain, Knotsberry Farm, Universal Studios, Disneyland, museums and sporting events.
