What would you do if you ever found
The legendary fountain of youth?
Would you live to a hundred -- or maybe a thousand?
That's getting pretty long in the tooth,
If you could drink of its water -- feel better all over --
Stay young forever -- would you?
Be constantly thirty, at the peak of your prime,
Would you participate? -- and should you?
There's something to be said for taking life as it comes,
Maybe living forever in the next life,
No matter what your taste for eternal pulchritude,
Be satisfied today with only one life.
