Biography

Maria V. Chistiakova received her B.S. in chemical engineering, as well as a B.A. in physics, from the University of California at Berkeley in 2009. She is currently working towards her PhD in Professor Andrea M. Armani's research group at the University of Southern California.

As an undergraduate, she worked with Yury Kolomensy in the physics department. She was responsible for determining the probability of the occurance of a certain particle decay chain.

Research Interests

Maria is interested in developing new kinds of biosensors using whispering gallery mode microresonators.
