Laboratory: Introduction to the Web, Plug-Ins and Search Engines

Laboratory Assignment:  #1

Below you will find a list of drugs. The name of each drug is given either as a brand name (trademark) or generic name.Your task is to find the

      1. the generic name (if branded) or brand name (if generic)
      2. the class of drug (what the drug is used to treat) and a known side effect.

You must give reference(s) for your answers in each case (web address). The easiest method would be to construct a search on the internet. For each drug that is correctly identified and categorized, you will receive 2 points. Submit your material in Word, XL or PDF format, as an attachment (see Lab Schedule Page for online submission engine). IN YOUR DOCUMENT, be sure to include: your name, TA's name, and lab section number.
